General
Campus Solutions is a company that specializes in reliable and affordable storage and shipping solutions for college students. We provide these services throughout the entire year, with a focus on the summer months. We store items in a fully-secured professional storage facility and ship items via Federal Express.

Packing
Yes, we offer boxes and additional supplies such as tape. They are free for you if you use any of our services! The two boxes we have available are: the STANDARD LARGE BOX (24"×18"×16") and the STANDARD BOOK BOX (12"x18"x16"). The Book Box has exactly half the volume of the Large Box.
For 2011, we will have supply deliveries every Sunday Beginning May 22nd until the end of the school-year. Reserved customers will receive email instructions regarding supply deliveries by Friday night of each week. We will also have our supply tents on campus every weekday starting May 23rd until the end of the year. Feel free to drop by and pick up your supplies at that time! Tenting locations may vary by day, so please contact us if you are unsure of where to find us on campus!
Yes we store refrigerators of different sizes. They must be thawed out and cleaned at least 24 hours prior to your pick-up time. This gives time for the refrigerator to dry. We also recommend that you place a piece of cardboard in the refrigerator door and tape it in place to prop the door slightly open -- this will keep your refrigerator clean for the entire storage duration.
Yes, please disassemble all futons and beds before they are stored.
Printers and other electronics must be packed in original packaging with original styrofoam inserts in place. Electronics must be packed securely and properly shielded and padded. Boxes containing printers and other electronics must be clearly marked as fragile.
Glass: Please do not store items consisting of or containing glass. Campus Solutions is not responsible for any glass damage over the course of normal transportation/storage. Please do not store jewelry, coins, collectables, cash, and other valuables.
Also do not store very fragile items. Though we provide secure storage, our insurance does not cover such items. Hazardous material and contraband are strictly prohibited and Campus Solutions reserves the right to inspect for and remove such items. Please see the Campus Solutions Terms and Conditions for other items the insurance may not cover.
Of course! Just stop by at any of our tents/booths or at any of our box delivery locations to purchase our boxes and supplies. However, our storage and shipping customers are our number one priority so they will receive boxes and supplies before non-customers.
Please follow these few simple guidelines:
-Distribute your packing so that no item is over the 60-pound weight limit. Failure to do will result in an "overweight" charge.
-Tape all the edges of your item completely.
-Label all of your items with your name, move-in location in the fall, move-in date in the fall, and item number.
-All refrigerators need to be cleaned properly. Failure to do so may result in a fine.
-Please refer to the packing guidelines provided inside your Campus Solutions account under "Step 2"
Campus Solutions highly suggests taking with you your jewelry, coins, collectables, cash, and other valuables. Though we provide secure storage, our insurance does not cover such items and we think it’s always a good idea to keep valuables with you. Hazardous material and contraband are strictly prohibited and Campus Solutions reserves the right to inspect for and remove such items.
Storage & Shipping
Absolutely! One of the distinguishing features of Campus Solutions is our ability to accommodate off-campus students. Just pick [Off Campus] on the drop-down menu for pick-up and delivery and input your address.
Campus Solutions kindly asks that you make a reservation with us at least 2 days prior to pick-up. Simply sign up for an account and pay the reservation fee. The fee guarantees you a pick-up time, allows you to pick up free supplies at any of our tents, and insures every one of your items for up to $300. Reservations can either be made in person at any of our on-campus tents/booths with cash or check or on our website using a credit card. We recommend that you make the $20 reservation fee as soon as possible so that you can pick up your free boxes and supplies!
Yes, you may cancel your reservation. Your $20 reservation fee will be refunded if you tell us at least 72 hours in advance of your move-out date and have not already picked up your boxing materials. Please note: For Summer storage and shipping reservations we cannot give any refunds after Wednesday of Finals week.
Campus Solutions safely stores your items at our very own storage warehouse located 15 minutes away from the Northwestern Campus. Our facility is fully climate controlled to a maximum of 70 degrees in the Summer, and is fully secured.
Campus Solutions is proud to partner with FedEx to provide you with quality shipping services. We'll pick up your items right from your room and ship them to the destination of your choice. Shipping prices vary depending on destination zip code and weight. Orders can be placed through your Campus Solutions account. Please legibly write your name and destination in permanent marker on top of the box; we'll take care of the rest.
You should have all your items packed and labeled when we arrive. The labels should be filled out and securely attached to the non-box items such as refrigerators and plastic storage bins. Campus Solutions labels can be found on our website. If you know where you will be living in the Fall, please write that information on the boxes and labels.
You should a valid form of identification. If someone else is picking up your belongings for you, we need email confirmation from you that the person is authorized to do so, and a valid form of identification for them as well.
Don’t worry. Just contact us as soon as possible through our website to schedule a new delivery time. Storage items that are not claimed will incur a $25 special delivery fee if they are claimed past the last official delivery date. Unclaimed storage items may also incur a further storage fee depending on the duration of extra time. This charge will be pro-rated based on our normal rates for storage by quarter. Campus Solutions reserves the right to dispose of items linked to accounts with unpaid bills with unclaimed storage orders after a 1 quarter grace period from the original target delivery date.
Campus Solutions generally does not allow you to access your belongings during the summer months. Special circumstances may be considered and access will be granted with the assistance of a Campus Solutions representative.
Insurance
All boxes stored via Campus Solutions are automatically insured for up to $300 with the option to buy additional insurance. We recommend that you do not store valuables or fragile items. All items shipped via Campus Solutions are automatically insured for up to $100 with the option to buy additional insurance. Additional insurance costs $10 for each additional $100 worth. Additional insurance must be purchased at the time of pick-up, additionally insured boxes/items must be noted by a Campus Solutions representative prior to transportation. To file an insurance claim on an item, we require notice within 24 hours of delivery of the item. Keep all packaging and take photos of damage to the item/packaging so we can verify the loss/damage.
We reserve the right to refuse insurance on non-Campus Solutions packaging, so please only use the boxes we provide - they are unlimited and free! Stand-alone items not stored in our boxes will be insured for up to $150, customers are encouraged to purchase additional insurance for items of greater value.
Billing
You are billed $20 when you make a reservation. This charge is a one-time cost. The total bill needs to be paid through our website or via check by mail after pick-up and before delivery.
Campus Solutions gladly accepts cash, check, and/or credit card.
We accept cash or check in person so if you are looking to pay the reservation fee that way you can meet a Campus Solutions representative at any of our tents/booths. Full payment through cash or check can be done at time of pick-up or can be mailed to us during the time of storage before delivery occurs. Please email us so we can give you the mailing address. All checks should be made out to "Campus Solutions".
We also gladly accept credit cards. You can pay with credit card directly through our website.
Your reservation fee is a one-time charge that can only be refunded if you decide to cancel your order. Cancellations are accepted up to 72 hours in advance of your move-out date. Please note that once you have received your supplies, we can no longer refund your reservation fee. The reservation fee allows us to give you 'first come first serve' service, gives you access to as much free supplies as you need, and automatically insures every storage item for up to $300 and every shipping item for up to $100. Please note: For Summer storage and shipping reservations we cannot give any refunds after Wednesday of Finals week
Additional fees will be applied for overweight items and fridges that have not been properly cleaned. Fridges must be dry and clean. Bounced checks, missed deliveries, and late deliveries may also be subject to additional fees. Improper packaging (overfilled boxes, boxes that are not taped properly) may incur an additional fee as well. You can also choose to add additional insurance to certain items.
Campus Solutions was started by college students, just like you, who know how stressful and expensive storage and shipping services can be. Therefore, we do our best to keep our prices fair and affordable.
